About ‘You Can Be’

“Lost for days and nights…” the opening lyric appears to be a precursor to the strange and uncertain times in which we now live. You Can Be is about positivity, potential and most importantly hope. If there’s anything positive that could come from an extended period of isolation, perhaps it’s the chance for us to take a step back from the madness of everyday life and evaluate what matters most. A chance to reflect and think about our potential, and the time & space to work out how that potential might be realised. It’s tough being away from loved ones, cooped up indoors, gazing longingly at the sunshine outside, but think about that first beer post-lockdown in the glorious summer sun. Keep the dream alive, and in the meantime let the blissed-out lysergic electro-pop melange of 'You Can Be' act as the soundtrack to your quarantine and beyond!

The single was recorded at the renowned Rockfield recording studios in Monmouth, Wales. The studio has a rich recording history and has hosted recording sessions for many iconic artists, including Queen, Oasis, Stone Roses, and Coldplay.

Laurence 'Loz' Anslow, who has worked with artists such as Paul McCartney, Mumford & Sons, Muse, and Coldplay, produced, engineered, and mixed the single.
